Automatic City
– Buenos Aires –
“Automatic City of Buenos Aires” begins in 2008 when Mx Watson traveled to Australia. The dazzling city of Sydney planted a question in his mind: “Why Buenos Aires? At this moment his work about Automatismos turned to the urban theme, formed buildings with organic lines that transpose multiple layers of the collective subconscious giving shape (and culture) to the city of Buenos Aires.
In this weft of lines and colors, Latin American chaos, disordered spaces, streets and places with personal stories are expressed. Some characters are hyper-realized in tension against the plot, others live in the automatic world. Ciudad Automática is an organic, changing, tangible and unpredictable city, like the being that builds, destroys, occupies, travels, bakes and inhabits it.
